Political History of Tanzania Mainland
i. Tanzania is a union of two former nation states, Tanganyika and Zanzibar
ii. Germany colony 1884/1885- 1918 (end of the WW 1)

v. United with Zanzibar on 26 April 1964
vi. Zanzibar gained independence on January 12, 1963 following a revolution.
