CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Career Point University Hamirpur was established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh vide Act No 12 of 2012 under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University is empowered by the University Grant Commission (UGC), a statutory body of Government of India, for the award of degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University campus is spread over 30 acres and is surrounded with lower Himalayas at Hamirpur district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India and follows time-tested, internationally acclaimed IIT and IIM based education system. The University provides the range of courses in Engineering and Technology, Computer Application and Information Technology, Basic and Applied Sciences, Business and Managements, Vocational and Legal Studies. The University is sincerely striving to produce employable youth and leaders by inculcating the right skills at the right time.
The Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied Scientists (IANCAS) (www.iancas.org) was founded in 1981 with an objective to popularize the beneficial aspects of nuclear sciences and applications of radioisotopes /radiations in science, technology, food, agriculture and health-care among the academic community. The workshop, which is partially sponsored by DAE-BRNS, will provide a forum for mutual interaction among faculty members of science and technology from various educational institutes and research organizations and experts from DAE. Eminent scientist from DAE and some other reputed institutes will be the resource persons of the workshop. Most of the lectures will be supplemented by laboratory experiments for the benefits of the participants. The program will also consist of a keynote lecture on DAE Program, BRNS activities and research funding opportunities in basic and nuclear sciences for the benefit of participants associated with teaching and research.
Applications are invited in the enclosed 'participation form' from corporate/industry persons, faculty/scientists, research scholars and students in the relevant areas like Nuclear Science and Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Bioscience / Biotechnology, Health Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, etc. The scanned copy of duly filled participation form (enclosed or its photocopy) should be sent via E-mail only at till March 5, 2019. Selection of participants will be done on the basis of first come first serve. Selected participants will be informed through E-mail.
