Organizer: Co-Organizer: __________________________________________________________________ The Hong Kong Institute of Project Management (HKIPM) Project Management Achievement Awards (HKIPM Awards) is held each year in Hong Kong, and the awards are aimed to provide an opportunity for organisations and project managers in different disciplines showing their project success amongst their counterparts. The winners under each category of HKIPM Awards will be endorsed by HKIPM to submit to the international judging panel of the Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management Awards (apfpm Awards). This seminar has provided a communication platform for the representatives of the two winning projects in the year 2013, to share their valuable hands-on experiences and effective project management skills with the audience. HKIPM offered their heartfelt congratulations to the award winners for their outstanding achievements in project management. Winning Award: Winner of the HKIPM Awards – Category: Construction / Engineering Project Name: Public Rental Housing Development at Eastern Harbour Crossing (EHC) Site Phase 5 Winning Organisation: Hong Kong Housing Authority Winning Award: The Best Project of the Year (both of HKIPM Awards and apfpm Awards), Winner of HKIPM Awards and apfpm Awards – Category: Construction / Engineering Project Name: Redevelopment of Yau Tong Estate Phase 4 (DOMAIN) Winning Organisation: Hong Kong Housing Authority Three guest speakers from the winning organisation, i.e. Mr Stephen Yim (Chief Architect), Mr William Chan (Architect) and Mr Antony Chung (Architect), were invited by the CPD Committee of HKIPM to deliver a technical seminar on the above-said two winning projects at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm on Wednesday, 20 August 2014 at PolyU campus. The seminar covered the planning ideas, design concepts, green features, construction challenges, maintenance issues, interactions with different key stakeholders at various stages, success story behind each project, as well as the future development trend of public housing projects in Hong Kong. The seminar was very informative, clearly presented and thought-provoking. It was well received by about 200 registered attendees, and ended with some interesting questions from the audience and insightful answers from the guest speakers.
