Projects are divided into your
projects and projects you’re
part of. Last updated will appear first.

Milestones inyour project
44 Milestones can be dragged and
dropped into past, current or future milestone and re-
ordered within each.
11 Click the small arrow to expand /
collapse milestones
Divide your project into questions, each represented by milestones.
33 The number of milestones is indicated
here

notes, results and procedures of each
experiment is visible
22 Re-order experiments if needed
• Easily plan your experimental process from A-Z• Embed protocol templates in a click to save valuable
time and easily edit them if needed• Log your results and notes per procedure, and
summarize your final experimental conclusions • Use our complimentary iPad application to conduct
your experiment right on the bench and sync back your notes and results

Labguru’s advantages: Experiments
12
11 Select from existing
projects and milestones
Quickly startnew experiment
22 Enter experiment
name33 Protocol can
be either existing one
(from the lab or a commercial
one) or you may start a new procedure
13

11 View the hierarchy of the project
44 Print all or parts of the experiment,
as you choose
55 View resources used
in this experiment
22 Quickly duplicate experiment or save it as a
protocol to save time33 Complete/un-
complete experiments seamlessly
14
11 An experiment can be made up of more than one procedure – add one
from your protocol templates or manually
33 Use Labguru’s build-in timers and get text notification sent to your cell phone when experiment’s step timer
is up
Experimental procedures
22 Edit, delete or mark steps as completed (highlighted in green). Marking steps as
completed allows you to keep track of your progress

22 All text boxes enable basic editing function. Use
it for your convenience
18
Add plate details11 Select plate
layout in pop-up window
22 Select single or multiple wells for editing content
33 Symbols and colors are displayed on plate.
Use them for easy orientation
19
Use the Samples & Reagents table to connect between specific samples or tubes and the actual experiment they
were used in. This makes it easy to retrace steps (major advantage case
contamination was found)
Procedure features
20
Add notes and results to each procedure and to the
experiment as a whole. Don’t forget to add your
conclusion!

Collaborate using commentsShare comments, feedback and ideas on the spot, without waiting for face-to-face meetings. Find the comment box on the bottom of every page.
• Once done following all experimental steps and procedures, mark the experiment as completed
• An indication with your name and date of completion will appear at the top of the experiment
• Authorized lab members can now choose to sign&lock it
• The lab member who completed the experiment can not sign&lock it
• Once signed & locked, no changes can be applied to the experiment (comments may be added)
23
Completed experiments
24
11 Finished with the experiment? Indicate it as
complete! An indication will appear
below its title mentioning who completed it and when
33 Authorized lab members can choose to
sign and lock the experiment
Complete your experiment
22 Un-complete an experiment you wish to
continue
25
Once an experiment is signed and locked, no add/ edit/ delete is
allowed. Sign & Lock is irreversible, thus protecting the
integrity of your work

A completed experiment is highlighted in green. A locked
experiment will be marked with a lock icon in the project and
milestone pages
