3 Postulate
1. In jedem sozialem System existiert eine Vielfalt von sozialen Strukturen welche aus einer Reihe von sozialen Beziehungen entstehen.
2. Für jede gegebene relations-spezifische Struktur existiert ein formendes Prinzip, welches die Nähe bzw. „Ferne“ der Akteure bestimmt.
3. Wenn es aufgrund mehrerer solcher formenden Prinzipien mehrere (potentielle) soziale Strukturen gibt, dann finden sich unter den möglichen Mustern strukturelle Widersprüche und Kristallisationen.
