Ingredients: Organic cane sugar.

Factoid: While sugar should be enjoyed inmoderation, organic cane sugar hasbenefits over table sugar. Rather than going through a refining process and potentially being exposed to chemicals, organic sugar is made from evaporated cane juice that crystallizes. By avoiding this refining process, sugar may maintain some of the nutrients (phosphorus,calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium) from the sugar cane.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Ingredients: 2 3/4 C all-purpose flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp baking powder1 C butter, softened1 1/2 C cane sugar1 egg1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375F (190C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.3. Bake 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
