OFFERTORY PRAYER
All: Mighty Creator, all of creation is a tapestry proclaiming your love and
mercy, and yet your heart feels every loss we experience; you cry at every
word that wounds one of your precious children. We bring gifts to you this
morning, not as restitution for past mercies or prepayment for future favor,
but as a celebration of your love and care for us and all creation. Dedicate
these gifts that they might bring love and compassion, that they might help
heal your creation, and help us more resemble the people you desire us to
be. In Christ, we pray. Amen.

Organ concert – We will be having an official dedication concert welcoming the organ back to
service on Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00 pm.
The Adult Sunday School class will resume on October 6th at 9:30 am in the Parlor.
Prayer Chain – For years PHUMC has had a prayer chain that has helped with prayer requests
within the congregation. This is a ministry of the life of our congregation. Committing one’s time
to pray for the burdens, concerns, and also the joys of our sisters and brothers in Christ is an
important piece of helping others feel wanted. We are looking for a few more volunteers for our
Prayer Chain. This is also a great way to learn about the needs and concerns of people who do not
have internet access, and who rely on a phone call as their main means of staying in touch. If you
are interested or would like more information please contact Mary Schramm at 410-256-6479
with your info.
Sunday School news - The teen class is doing a gift drive for BARCS (The Baltimore Animal
Rescue and Care Shelter) from now till the end of October. Everyone is welcome to help us out.
We are looking for anything a cat or dog may need. Suggested items include food, toys, litter
boxes, litter, leashes, and collars. Donations can be left in the Narthex or in the Middle School/
High School class. Thank you for your help, Rachael Desfosses.
Leadership Days - In an effort to get quality information into the hands of the congregation the
Baltimore Washington Conference is trying something new.

The Cribbery Needs Your Help!

helped for years are stepping down. If no children arrive during the
first 10 minutes of the service, you can join the church service
upstairs.
