Oreo - Ganesh Chaturthi

My Ganesh Festival – Cadbury Oreo Style India is a land of fiestas and colorful festivities which continue the whole year round. Every person has a unique way of celebrating them according to one’s caste, culture, beliefs and traditions that one has grown up with. Even amongst this cultural variety, each of these festivities speak of bringing people together from different walks of life by strengthening bonds and relationships and insist on making life a joyous celebration. As a kid, it used to give me massive pleasure to visit the numerous Ganpati pandals across the city, have a look at the flamboyant idols, their beautifications and take part in the celebrations. Of course, the prasad and the modaks given big-heartedly at every pandal was an additional bonus :) Definitely times have changed now but still Modaks & festivities continue to pull me like a magnet. The unique part of this year’s Ganesh Festival was my home-made Oreo Modak. Thanks to my regular visits to Cadbury Oreo India page on Facebook. Cadbury Oreo India’s community on Facebook has really been active in celebrating all the major events & happenings in the country. Recently during the Ganesh festival, Fans of Cadbury Oreo India community had something to taste during the 10 day festivity. The Oreo India page on Facebook shared recipes of Special ‘Oreo Modaks’ which can be prepared during the Ganesh Festival. It was first of its kind initiative by Oreo India to combine the flavor of Oreo along with Traditional recipe of Modak. I am sharing along with you guys the recipe I tried at home. Hope you guys will also like the ‘Oreo Modaks’ ----
