ing. After the noise a liitle bang went off and the glass was all clear so I stood up and looked at all the buildings. I got such a fright because there was a glimpse of fog then it went clear again. I had such a fun time there, I survived the Edge, it was so cool! By Alicia Engler Our Awards this week went to Cassady Thomas and Jimmy Cameron for their positive contributions to class last week, Jessie Hearl for her fantastic postcard writing, Mikayla Allen for her honesty in the yard and Bella Archer, Mark Heder-man and Jessie Hearl for their excel-lent achievement in Mathletics! I will be taking the rest of this term on Long Service leave so for any issues or concerns please speak to Larissa Murray. I look forward to seeing everyone back with their hats next term! Cheers

Principal I’m afraid it’s that time of the year again and Head lice have raised their ugly heads so please check your child for signs of lice and treat them. A new tip I just learnt is to pour Coca Cola in the child’s hair then wrap their hair in Glad wrap for an hour, this makes it easier to comb out the eggs

Signs of Head Lice:

Although they're very small, lice can be

seen by the naked eye. Here are things to

look for: Lice eggs (called nits). These look

like tiny yellow, tan, or brown dots before

they hatch. Lice lay nits on hair shafts close

to the scalp, where the temperature is per-

fect for keeping warm until they hatch. Nits

look sort of like dandruff, only they can't be

removed by brushing or shaking them off.

Unless the infestation is heavy, it's more common to see nits in a child's hair than it is to see live lice crawling on the scalp. Lice eggs hatch within 1 to 2 weeks after they're laid. After hatching, the remaining shell looks white or clear and stays firmly at-tached to the hair shaft.

Don’t forget the free screening of “My Pet Dinosaur” in Orbost Shire Library on Tuesday 26th Sep at 2pm– 3.45pm

On Wed.4th Oct. at the Orbost Library there is a decorate a chalk board activity from 2-3.30pm where the children hear stories, play games and deco-rate a chalk board to take home and keep. Remember everyday is important, if your child can’t come to school, please let us know. School payments may be made by di-rect credit to BSB 313-140 Account 12004000. If you bring cash to school to make a pay-ment please ensure you have the correct money as we do not keep cash at school for change.

School Banking School banking day for students is on Tuesday.
