The business training they will receive in Glasgow will stand them in excellent stead for the future. The Business SchoolBusiness Schools, like other organisations, need to move with the times. Management education began in the University of Glasgow in the 1950s, initially on a part time basis for practising managers in the local community. The Business School now trains over 1700 students each year at Undergraduate, Masters and Postgraduate Research level.

The University of Glasgow Business School is housed within purpose-built facilities. The Business School draws upon the academic resources of four departments: Accounting and Finance, Economic and Social History, Economics and Management, all of which pride themselves in their pursuit of research-led academic excellence.

The University of Glasgow Business School has gained specialised international accreditation for its business school from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) to join the ranks of the world’s best business schools.

The University of Glasgow Business School has been a long-standing accredited member of The Association of MBAs (AMBA), an internationally recognised accreditation service recognised as the global standard for all MBA programmes. Students and graduates from accredited programmes can join AMBA’s unique world-wide contact network and take advantage of a full range of benefits and services, as well as gaining access to high profile business and academic speakers at events.

According to the Times Higher Education Supplement National Student Survey ratings for 2007, the University of Glasgow has the most satisfied business students in the United Kingdom.
