Thursdays 10:30 a.m. Join us for an early literacy experience for children ages 2 – 5. Come have fun with your child while listening to stories, participating in action rhymes, singing songs, choosing books and learning group socialization skills.
Saturday, December 6th 1:00 p.m. Come learn things you never knew about the planets! Do you know which planet is a vacuum cleaner? Which planet has a pet cloud named Scooter? Does it really rain diamonds in outer space? Find out the answers to these questions and much more as we explore the heavenly bodies of our solar system. Stay, and craft a really cool model of the planets to take home!
Saturday, January 3rd 1:00 p.m. Do you ever wonder what goes on at night while you are asleep? When you are sleeping, many special animals are wide awake. Do you know which nocturnal animal swallows with its eyes? Which animal never needs a babysitter? Come learn all about the crea- tures of the night, and stay to dissect a real owl pellet and make a print of native animal tracks to take home!
Saturday, February 7th 1:00 p.m. Our five senses are important to us in many ways. But do you know what your ears do besides hearing? How many different smells can you detect? Why doesn’t food taste as good when you are sick? What are your pupils made of? Come participate in some cool experiments as we learn all about our five senses.
Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. Join us for story time and an early literacy experience for children ages 0 – 2. The “Every Child Ready to Read” skills of talking, singing, reading, participating in finger plays and writing will be introduced to children and their parents. These skills will not only help parents to educate their children, but will also increase socialization skills through music, activities and fun.

Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. Calling all creative kids! If you love making cool stuff, we have a program for you! Make buildings, vehicles, animals, and other neat creations with Legos. If you can imagine it, you can make it! This program is for children aged 4 to 6 years old. A special story time is presented before each maker session. Programs are limited to the first 20 participants. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Teens, do you want to get creative after school? “Get Art, Get Smart” is back! Join our program, and take a journey through time into the amazing world of art. You’ll find out about important people and movements in art history, and then learn how to use different materials to create your own masterpiece based on the artist of the day. Programs are limited to the first 20 participants. All art materials will be provided. Children under the age of 12 may attend if accompanied by an adult. All classes begin at 2:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 17th 1:00 p.m. Based on the hugely successful novel by young adult author, John Green, this film tells the story of two teens who meet and fall in love at a cancer support group. This movie debuted at number one at the box office when it was released in June 2014. See it for the first time, or see it again. This movie is rated PG-13. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
What can you make with duct tape? What can’t you make with duct tape? Bring your cool ideas and creativity to the OCL for an afternoon of fun, as we make all kinds of accessories. Give them as gifts, or keep them for yourself. There’s no limit to what you can make or the fun you’ll have! All children under the age of 12 must be accom- panied by an adult.
Teens, do you want to make a difference? Do you want to have a say in what goes on at your library? Do you have a great imagination and some cool ideas? If you answered “yes”, our Teen Advisory Group, TAG, needs you! Come meet with like-minded teens, help shape the programs and services at your library, and enjoy some afternoon refreshments! Saturday, January 10th 1:00 p.m. Join us for this tale of an Indian boy whose father owns a restaurant in France. Helen Mirren stars as the father’s rival restaurateur, with whom this young man apprentices. Manish Dayel, who plays the son, is an Orangeburg native! Come enjoy some local talent on our big movie screen. Refreshments will be served. This film is rated PG. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tuesday, December 30th 1:00 p.m. Get ready to ring in 2015 with a super-sparkly party mask! Join us and create a fabulous mask for your New Year’s Eve celebration. All craft materials will be provided. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Happy New Year!
“Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” Movie and Craft Saturday, February 14th 1:00 p.m. Bring the family and enjoy the Peanuts in “Be My Valentine, Char- lie Brown”. Munch on some fresh popcorn, and watch Snoopy and the gang search for love and Valentine’s Day cards. Stay after the show and make some beautiful heart-shaped sun catchers for your Valentine. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Movie Matinee Tuesday, December 23rd 1:00 p.m. Even the mean old Grinch can’t keep the Whos of Whooville down! Join us for an afternoon of laughs and life lessons, as we present a new take on the old classic. This film stars the hilarious Jim Carrey as the Grinch and was directed by Ron Howard. Refreshments will be served. This movie is rated PG. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
“Dolphin Tale 2” Movie Matinee Saturday, January 31st 1:00 p.m. If you loved “Dolphin Tale,” this sequel is a must-see. The story of Winter, the rescued dolphin, continues with the addition of a new companion, Hope. Based on a true story, this movie was filmed at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Winter’s actual home. The reunited cast of the origi- nal “Dolphin Tale” includes Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd. Refreshments will be served. This film is rated PG. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
