Fuzzy – A fuzzy search enables you to look for records that closely

resemble or sound like your word(s) , but are spelled differently

Eg – Kat, Cat , Telephone, Telefone

Stem - Oracle Text search will fetch all those items which are having

the same stem or root word term.

Eg – Stem (root word) – It searches for Stemming,

stemmed,stemmer,etc

Key Learnings

Run Item Catalog Text Index and Optimize Item Catalog Text

Index concurrent Programs.

Cross referencing takes precedence.

If cross-reference then no matching.

No matching process for transaction type CREATE.

For CREATE, match status is “New Item”.

If source system is PIMDH then there is no matching or cross

referencing.

Page 38: Oracle Import work bench

Key Learnings

Matching is performed on the columns defined in the match rule.

If already cross referenced then no matching.

If excluded then subsequent runs get excluded automatically.

If the ICC name is given then the incoming records will be under the

context of ICC.

A batch can only be deleted if its “completed” or “Rejected”
