Vehicle Grant Service Areas

The Highway 16 Community Transportation Grant Program is part of a Five-Point Transportation Action Plan designed for residents in remote and indigenous communities to have safe transportation options along the Highway 16 corridor from Prince Rupert to Prince George. The Ministry is providing $2 million over three years to support 12 community groups in the purchase and operation of vehicles to support self-identied transportation services.

* BC Bus North is not a component of the Five-Point Transportation Plan, but a provincially-funded interim bus program to ll the gap as a result of Greyhound’s decision on cancelling Northern BC route services.
