Options for your Senior Year

Scheduling for next year will begin soon, here are some of the options we would like you to consider!

“Off-Site Experiences”

Lebanon HS has many “off-site” programs for you that have been formed through various partnerships. As a senior, these programs can offer you “real-world” work and college life experiences. Consider taking advantage of the following programs in order to supplement your high school experience.

Senior Internship Program

Offered through the WCCC, this program allows seniors to intern at various locations throughout the year. Students would attend LHS in the morning and then travel to their internship site in the afternoon. There is an application process and students will be required to remain in the internship program for their entire senior year. Upon successful completion, students can earn up to 4.0 credits for the year.

Teacher Academy

Offered through the WCCC, Teacher Academy is a program for students who are specifically interested in becoming an educator. Students will participate in college level curriculum and will spend time student-teaching in classrooms. Students will participate in LHS academics for ½ day and then travel to their teaching site for the other half. Students will earn up to 4.0 credits for one year and earn college credit.

Marketing/Merchandising

Offered through WCCC, this program is geared towards the student interested in business, marketing, sales, advertising, etc. The student would attend the program for the entire school day. Therefore, academics would be taken off-site. The program is made up of a combination of classroom and internship experiences.

Applications and Deadlines

You will have an opportunity to attend a presentation on the 3 programs offered by the WCCC over the next three TEAM meetings.

Open-House on Thurs., Jan 17 at 5:00pm – 6:30pm at the Warren County Career Center.

PSEO

Post-Secondary Education Options. Students may attend college classes at no cost and earn BOTH high school and college credit. Students and parents must attend the PSEO info. meeting on Feb. 5 at 7:00pm at LHS. Students may participate in either a partial or full day program through PSEO. Students may choose any college with a PSEO program in Ohio. Most choose MUM, Sinclair, UC, Wilmington or UD.
