Schlieren Method for Studying Gas Flow

Condenser mirror projects the bulb filament onto the entrance pupil of the Schlieren system.

The first (collimating) doublet has a Ronci Rolling in its front focal plane and sends collimated light through the gas flow area .

The second (focusing) doublet focuses light onto the second Ronci Rolling, which is the negative of the first one.

The second doublet and a camera lens form the image of the gas flow area on a screen.

Mini Spectrometer Optical System

Few optical systems for mini spectrometers were designed.

Here is one of them imported from Opticad.

Astigmatism of the system is reduced due to a two-layer optical design.

Light beam from a SM fiber is collimated by a doublet.

Diffraction grating disperses it.

Dispersed light is focused by a mirror onto a CCD array.
