If an event occurs during construction that creates an unsafe situation along the existing trail, the area in the highlighted trail portion will be shut down immediately and the situation will be resolved as quickly as possible so that the greenway can be reopened. During the months of construction, Stones River Greenway may be subject to restricted access along the highlighted portions during standard construction hours: Monday - Friday (PM Hours) but, every effort will be made to keep the trail open. Flagmen will be utilized throughout the construction time frame to regulate traffic on the greenway to ensure the safety of the general public. Occasional, temporary closures may be necessary for construction of the new trail. Closures will be of a limited duration, and signage will be posted at strategic locations to alert greenway users of the closure. Highlighted trail portions reflect potential temporary closure of approximately 1600 LF (approximately 1/3 mi.) of the Stones River Greenway and include the section of the trail that begins at the Two Rivers Park Trailhead and extends across the end of the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge as users travel east to west.
