OPPO UDP 203/205 Femto installation guide

1. Take out 27 MHz clock and 3 other components C525,C526,R531

2. Take out 25 MHz clock and 3 other components C957,C951,R943

Use only good quality hot air gun such as Weller WHA 600. and set the temperature 385 degree.

before de-soldering work, put thick black insulation tapes around the clock to protect from heat.

3. put FEMTO clock buffer board around each clock .put insulation tapes first and femto buffer board.

( for 27 Mhz installation .)

Get the 3.3v source from inner side of C179 on the upper side.

( for 25 Mhz installation )

Get the 3.3v source from one side of C1035

4. install FEMTO MAIN board and connect and solder power cables to bottom of 8 pin power connector( +5V and ground )

5. connect between buffer and main board.

I suggest to put some hot glue around buffer board and put insulation tape on the 27 Mhz buffer board for safety.

In case of OPPO UHD 205.

It is better to install 100 MHz in 2 channel stereo DAC board .

Audio performance will be much improved .

take out metal case and C639.metal shield case is very thin .it is easy to remove with knife and nipper.

Get the 3.3V power form one side of C 563----------------------------------------the result will be as below .

Before.You can see wave form is round and lots of jitter spectrum.

after: very clean rectangular wave and virtually no jitter
