State Trade Expansion Program

What is the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP)?

Funding provided by SBA to California that provides incentives and resources to

support small businesses to expand exports

What is provided?

“California pavilions” at selected International Trade Shows and Trade Missions

(e.g. Singapore Air Show, Japan Air Show, etc.)

STEP reduces cost of participation

STEP supports with branding, public relations

STEP helps defray the costs of utilizing matchmaking services

Individual Company Export Promotions (ICEP) – STEP provides the opportunity for

companies to submit requests for funding (Upto $5k) to support their export

promotion activities when going abroad (www.citd.org/icep)
