Purpose
• Provide a venue that allows Marines to identify emerging OIF needs and a mechanism to rapidly respond to their requests.
Support the Secretary’s urgent desire to provide maximum support to deployed Marines
Responsive support to the warfighter

Considerations
• Address across DOTMLPF • Process has to be easy, accessible, visible, timely
and responsive• Broad input combined with command prioritization• Address solutions achievable within 6 months as a
priority and consider solutions up to two years• Will not replace existing processes and organizations
but will enhance rapid acquisition• Harness all resources (Military and Industry)• Enduring Freedom Combat Assessment Team

• Protection Offered - Will reinforce the M1123A2 or M1097A2 to withstand: Direct 7.62x39 (AK-47); indirect overhead protection from 155 mm airbursts; and underbody protection from M67 grenade.
