What is Symbian OS?
Symbian is a mobile operatingsystem (OS) and computingplatform designed for smartphones andcurrently maintained by Accenture. The
Symbian platform is the successorto Symbian OS and Nokia Series 60;unlike Symbian OS, which needed anadditional user interface system,Symbian includes a user interfacecomponent based on S60 5th Edition.
The Symbian platform was created by
merging and integrating software assetscontributed by Nokia, NTTDoCoMo, SonyEricsson and Symbian Ltd.
