4 OpenVPN Connect setup
Download the configuration profiles from the fol-lowing URLs: https://vpn.hu-berlin.de/openvpn/hu-berlin.ovpn and https://vpn.hu-berlin.de/openvpn/hu-berlin-alternative.ovpn or use the illustrated QR codes.You can simply open the URL in Safari or use a QR code scannerof your choice. This guide uses Safari.
5 install configuration profiles
Safari now offers you directly the option OpenVPN.Tap on Open in "OpenVPN"".

Now the app OpenVPN Connect opens. Thereyou will see the OpenVPN profile of the HumboldtUniversity of Berlin with the name ovpn.cms.hu-berlin.de/hu-berlin. Tap on the green plus sign belowto add the profile to your app.
6 OpenVPN connection established
Enter the user name of your HU account under UserID and your corresponding password under Password.If you do not want to enter your access data everytime you establish a connection, you can use the sliderat Save. Then activate the slider under Disconnectedto connect.
Hinweis: Abhängig davon an welcher Einrichtung Sie Ihren Account haben,müssen Sie eine Erweiterung an Ihren Benutzernamen anhängen. Die Er-weiterung können Sie der folgenden Tabelle entnehmen. Wenn Sie nicht wissen,wo Sie Ihren Account haben, ist er wahrscheinlich beim CMS (zentraler HU-Account).

The first time a connection is established, you will beasked whether you trust the application. This happensbecause the application for the VPN tunnel redirectsand can modify the data traffic of the mobile device.You should therefore be very careful when choosingthe VPN application. OpenVPN Connect comes fromthe manufacturer of the OpenSource software Open-VPN and is classified by us as trustworthy.If you trust OpenVPN Connect, you can tap Yes hereand allow OpenVPN Connect to intervene in the datatraffic.
Now you are connected. You can now switch to an-other app, for example the Safari Browser, and use theHU network.You can always tell that you are connected by theVPN symbol in the header next to the battery indica-tor.You can disconnect by clicking the slider under Con-nected.

The next time you want to establish a VPN connec-tion, simply open the app OpenVPN Connect and usethe slider under Disconnected again.
