– AARA funds used to do SSO– NCIIA funds used to enhance system
• personal transition to faculty• no activity for 2011 fall/spring• ramping again now
– 3 tech entrepreneurship courses– 220 students, 60+ teams– 40 (out of 200) mentors
what’s happened

• roll out across CTI– as many as 1,000 BIS, 250 teams
• need full-time mentor management• or, try self-organization• roll out across ASU more difficult• re-emphasize the Mentor Marketplace• attempt global connections• adopt some of UofW Foster center approach
into the future

• make process as simple as possible• provide clear policies, procedures, etc.• must engage with the system• need to accommodate all styles• virtual does not replace f2f• avoid major systems project: no SSO
• at scale mentor management is a full-time job
