1) Welcome to the Statistical Knowledge Network

- a registry of objects that provide meaningful knowledge structures (ontologies) with rules & constraints to ensure safe usage

- tools to support user actions: find, display,

annotate, manipulate, and contribute

- tools to help diverse users understand

- a community of people who collaborate

- and ways to provide feedback for continued re-design.

3) Government agencies, organizations, and registered individuals can contribute to the Statistical Knowledge Network. Some objects will be registered manually, while others will be added automatically by web crawlers or other processes. Metadata descriptions and links will be stored, but most objects will remain with on the contributor’s server.

Tools to support the Contribute action will include input validation, indexing, record editing, and deletion. Services include version control, security, authentification, and backup.
