Course overview Weatherford Canada Petroleum Consulting has been teaching open hole log analysis courses for over 10 years. This course is designed for individuals who want to learn basic open hole log analysis or need a refresher. The two-day course will give you an insight into the theory, operation, and petrophysical application of open hole logging tools such as Gamma Ray, Spontaneous Potential, Resistivity, Neutron, Density, and Sonic. Utilizing open hole data you will learn how to determine lithology, shale volume, porosity, permeability, rock mechanical properties, acoustic anisotropy, stress direction, and saturation and use these concepts to evaluate reservoir quality in horizontal and vertical wells. Attendees will also be introduced to some advanced offerings, including conveyance methods, horizontal well logging, borehole imaging, cross dipole sonic, and geomechanics. The course will include a practical log workshop to apply the theory to Canadian log examples. Dates and pricing May 26-27th, 2015 Daily 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM $800 with early bird pricing of $700 if payment received before April 15th The Seminar will be held in the training room on the 12th floor of the Weatherford Canada Office at 333 5th Ave. S.W. Calgary Alberta. Coffee, light breakfast, and lunch will be provided, students with special needs or dietary restrictions are asked to contact us beforehand. We are also offering “Cased Hole Log Evaluation” from May 20-21st . There will be a further discount if you register for both Please call or email us to register or get more information for this seminar $800 per person, includes light breakfast and lunch each day Kimberley Beattie at 403-693-7512 or [email protected] Maximum 24 participants Open Hole Log Evaluation: An Introduction to Logging and Petrophysical Analysis Learn basic open hole log analysis or take advantage of this refresher.
