among students in Nigeria and encourage them to make it open access.

• Organize workshops on how to carry out research ,writing manuscripts and research publishing

• Organize trainings on Awareness campaigns and advocacy for Open Access

• Provide information about access to grants to conduct research

• Provide information about opportunities to present at international conferences with travel grants

• Open Access (OA) is the free, immediate, unrestricted availability of high-quality, peer-reviewed scholarly articles over the Internet combined with the rights to use this information to its fullest possible extent.

• Pay walls and price barriers have prevented students, teachers and researchers from getting access to research they need.

• As students, we are gradually losing already limited access to core academic research – research essential to a complete education.

• Open Access is an alternative publishing and distribution model that makes scholarly research literature - most of which is already funded by taxpayers around the world - freely available to the public online, without restrictions.

• Create awareness among your colleagues, educate them and begin advocacy groups.
