Come to picturesque Ontario’s Lake Country and travel the beautiful roadways with the vibrant autumn colours that connect the lakes and waterways throughout the region ONTARIO’S LAKE COUNTRY Experience the beauty of our entire region OLC (300km/4 Hours) ~ Your journey begins along highway 12 from Orillia to Bass Lake Side Road. Bass Lake Side Road will take you into Oro-Medonte, where there is a number of unique stops such as Bass Lake Provincial Park, Horseshoe Valley Resort and the Oro African Church. Once you have made your way through the beautiful countryside take highway 400 to Coldwater, a quaint village and a great place to stop for a meal by the river. From Coldwater get back on highway 11 and exit at Big Chute Road to visit the fascinating marine railway along the Trent Severn Waterway. Return along the winding road down to Town Line. Plan stops at Hewitt’s Farm, and a number of other points of interest. Take highway 11 to the picturesque village of Washago and make a pit stop at R Cottage. Next, make your way along highway 169 and stretch your legs at Black River Wilderness Park. Continue onto highway 169 into Brechin and explore Lagoon City , a unique community of canals and waterways. e journey is nearing an end, it is time to travel towards Orillia. Take highway 12 back to- wards Orillia. You can make a number of stops along the way including Mara and McRae Pro- vincial Parks, both located on Lake Simcoe.
