When Vipal Rubber started its operations back in 1973, Brazil was going through a growth period with several large investments in infrastructure, basic industries, equipment, and capital goods, strengthening a country that was achieving international reach.

Realising this great opportunity, Vicencio Paludo founded Vipal in Nova Prata/RS. A company that grew with tyre retread to become a reference throughout the world. Always investing in service capabilities, its facilities now encompass more than 160,000 m2, including three plants, a Technical Centre, a Research & Technology Centre and Distribution Centres within and outside Brazil. An impressive structure when compared to the original premises of some 1,500 m2.

Vipal Rubber currently counts with over 3,000 employees and an installed capacity of over 18,000 tons/month. This guarantees market supply, high productivity and competitive pricing. Vipal Rubber is a company with retreading DNA that delivers to the market a full range of services and products for repairing and retreading every kind of tyre and inner tube. Additionally, the company is also the owner of the Ruzi brand.

Vipal Rubber is today a giant in the industry, with a service structure comprising three plants:two in Nova Prata, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where the business was founded, and one inFeira de Santana, Bahia, Brazil, plus a Research & Technology Centre.

QUALITY ASSURANCETHE ROAD IS A MASTER WITH A LOT TO TEACH. How can we combine learning in the road and technology?

We learn with the road every day and via Univipal, CTV (Vicencio Paludo Technical Centre),CPT (Research & Technology Centre) and Vipaltec, we spread the knowledge broughtby the road.

UNIVIPALSharing the experience the road has brought us through customer and retreader training and e-Learning is Univipal’s goal. More than 300 training sessions have been provided, qualifyingover 2,300 students per year via on-site classes and over 1,400 via e-Learning.

CTVWe know that it is important to invest in training, technology and research, but we do not disregard learning with the road. CTV is a Univipal branch, and it provides over 50 courses every year for 350 students from several countries, spreading the hands-on knowledge from the road among our audience. Additionally, CTV is used for product research, validation and testing. CPTWhat we learn in practice, by driving and feeling the tyre, becomes input to develop new research methods and new technologies in CPT, a research and development centre withcutting-edge labs and next generation equipment.

VIPALTECWe have driven all around the world, taking the lessons learned to our labs. Vipaltec is ahigh-tech lab accredited by INMETRO, the most important Brazilian national institute, wherenew and retreaded tyres are tested for certification.

TREADS

Precured treads with exclusive designs, camelbackin several sizes, strip rubber compound and thickness rubber, to better meet the needs of customer and retreader.

GUMS AND CEMENTS

A line comprising tread gum, shoulder veneer, sidewall veneer, cushion gum and Vulk cement. These are intended to fill damages, produce a finish and bond between the tread and casing of the retreaded tyre. Available in several presentation shapes for improved retreader productivity.

As well as providing the best products and solutions for tyre retreading, Vipal Authorized Dealer Network is a partnership that applies the knowledge from the road to push forward the business of every part involved.
