Why Study Online?
open.suny.edu
Across the U.S., one in three students—seven million in total—studies online. Online degree completion provides incredible flexibility. Classes are available when you are—before work, in the evening, or during the weekend. It also enables you to take control over how quickly you can finish your degree. The end result is an education on your terms; at your own pace and within your budget.
Why Study Online at SUNY?
SUNY is an online pioneer. We first launched an online learning network in 1994 and remain committed to an online community that offers more than 500 degrees through 44 campuses.
High Quality. All SUNY degrees are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Online courses are taught by the same faculty who teach the same course at their individual campuses, and online diplomas are identical to those offered through traditional campus-based study.
Expedient. If you have already earned college credit at an accredited university, it is likely those credits will transfer to SUNY. You may also receive credit for military or work experience. These prior learning- living-working experiences may minimize your time to degree.
Affordable. Tuition and fees at SUNY are more than 10% lower than the national average for public universities and nearly 50% lower than for-profit institutions.
