ONE WEDDING TWO STYLES

HOW TO PERFECTLY MIX

A HAPPY COUPLE’S PERSONAL STYLES

Page 2: One Wedding / Two styles

Weddings are joyous

occasions when two

people come together to

become one family.

There are so many

wedding style options for

every type of couple:

simple, extravagant,

whimsical, or traditional.

But how do you mix

different styles to

represent each side of the

couple?

What Do You Two Like?

The first thing every couple should do is talk

about what they like at weddings.

The look of the ceremony, the reception, and

the cake are pieces you should discuss.

With the help of the internet, you can find

thousands of photos for inspiration.

On the next few pages we’ll look into the

many different ways to combine each other’s

sense of style for a perfectly blended,

cohesive wedding.

CLASSIC

AND

WHIMSICAL

These two don’t have to be opposites.

Choose a monochromatic theme for your

ceremony and reception to give your wedding

a simple base.

Then add a bit of fantasy to your centerpieces

and accents – like these, oversized orchid

branches, hanging lanterns, and glass balls.

A THEME

MEETS

ELEGANCE Theme weddings can get stylistically

ridiculous very fast if you don’t tread

carefully.

Try to keep your themed elements to a

few big things or several small things.

These two photos are a great

example – the Air Force theme is

showcased by the cockpit replica at

the entrance of the reception and a

single small airplane flying out of the

centerpieces; while the rest of the

reception is a little more understated.

Family heritage is an important aspect of many weddings,

and thankfully it can be easy to combine with a spouse’s

personality.

First, start with a color palette. Native flowers, family

crests, and traditional garb can be great inspirations.

Second, mix and match the décor within your color

palette. Flowers, lighting, and table linens can be as

unique as you are as long as you stay within your palette.

TRADITIONAL

MEETS

PERSONAL

With the bohemian style making a resurgence in these modern times

it’s easy to see why couples want to marry these two style elements.

The reception can have mismatched chairs and silverware. The

centerpieces can be unique with a wild bouquet of flowers and

lights.

Around the space, add some energy efficient twinkle lights, project

photos of your family and friends onto a wall or screen, and use

flameless candles in decorative cups.

NATURE MEETS NURTURE Outside weddings are breathtaking and don’t require as much styling as indoor weddings but they

do require you to supply more amenities.

To make an outdoor space your own, add embellishments to your surroundings; flowers, ribbons,

lanterns, and curtains can add a pop of color and splash of personality to any space.

Part of style is comfort. Heaters, lights, cushions, and sky covers all might be great to have for you

and your guests.

OVER THE TOP

OR UNDERSTATED

Remember, your wedding can be whatever you two

want it to be – there is always a way to make it work.

Like marriage, style is all about balance.

As long as you agree as a couple, the wedding will be

beautiful.
