A THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
B y : B i l l y D o w d l
You probably have noticed some people at t imes have pecul iar Ideas about c le rgymen. No min i s t e r , p r i e s t o r rabbi Is superna tura l . They a r e human beings. The Inner voice which beckoned them to their cal l ing usually provides them with patience, t o l e r -ance and benevolence. But they a r e s t i l l human and have the s a m e t r a i t s of cur ios i ty and anxiety a s o ther people.
We Imagine most men of the cloth wonder at t imes about their adequacy - o r Inadequacies. Hours of prepara t ion and p r a y e r p recede a worship s e r v i c e . Even s o , no c lergyman can s t r i k e a responsive chord to or tor every one on every occasion. This Is lost as Impossible as It Is f o r a toll player to hi t a home run every t ime at b a t
Bui, when a respons ive chord Is s t r u c k , wouldn't It be a good Idea - at l eas t once In a while - to wri te and a note and say s o ? Remember - they ' re human too
