Slide 2 Slide 3 Slide 4 Once there was an old man who worked at the Crazy Critter pet store. The old man was looking for teeny, tiny tadpole eggs which he found in a pond. A few days later a funny second grade teacher had an idea to buy tadpoles to teach her students about the frogs life cycle. Slide 5 Then Mrs. Collins walked into the Crazy Critters pet shop and she saw the little tadpoles in the tank. Mrs. Collins took some of them for pets for her classroom. Slide 6 Mrs. Collins happily took them to her home. The tadpoles saw scary faces peering at them. It was Mrs. Collins kids Grace and Joe. The tadpoles tried to hide but there was no escape! Slide 7 Mrs. Collins brought the tadpoles to school the next day and everyone was so excited. Wow! Oh my gosh! everyone squealed. Slide 8 At the end of the day Mrs. Collins left the top of the aquarium open. That night a froggy magician came and stretched Bellas body out. Pop! She turned into a frog! Slide 9 Then as Bella was hopping through the tall green grass she found another frog wearing a crown. She said, Hi. Im Bella. Are you a real prince? The prince thought Bella, whose name means beautiful, was the prettiest frog he had ever seen. Slide 10 After a few days of dating Bella and the frog prince got married and lived happily ever after! The End!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Slide 11 Tiny Tadpole Tips Frogs are amphibians. As tadpoles grow they digest their tails. Frogs lay hundreds or thousands of eggs at a time. It takes different lengths of time for tadpoles to become frogs depending on their species and the conditions in their habitats. Slide 12 Slide 13 We hope you liked the show. What really happened to our tadpoles was first Bella hatched from her egg into a tadpole. Then she was put in a tank. Then Mrs. Collins bought her and some others. When she was in the water, she breathed from her gills. When she grew she started to change colors. Then she grew her back legs and then her front legs. Next, her lungs started to develop. We knew this because she climbed on the rock and stared to breathe. We all started yelling, Mrs.Collins, Mrs.Collins!!!!!!!! Bella climbed on the rock!!!! Then she died the next day. We think the water was too dirty or she died because she couldnt breathe in the water any more. Maybe the water was not right for her habitat. We liked having a tadpole in class because it was fun and we learned a lot about the frogs life cycle.
