On the Radar Database Project

Future developments continued..• Other services including mental health services, healthy

eating, physical activity, domestic violence, housing and many others will be able to benefit from being on the database.

• It will be available as soon as LVSC’s website has been finally adapted at the end of next week. You can then register your own organisation on the database if you haven’t done so already!

On the Radar Database Project

Future developments continued..The database is part of a bigger project. It will:• ensure VCS organisations raise the profile of their work

and demonstrate their impact to a relevant audience of public health decision-makers and commissioners;

• increase opportunities for organisations to be commissioned in the future;

• enable London's public health commissioners to identify gaps in services and new development opportunities for VCS organisations;

On the Radar Database Project

Future developments continued..• enable VCS organisations to use the database to

research possible partner organisations in their area or if they want to know about a range of other public health services delivered by VCS organisations that they can signpost their users to these services.

LVSC is working in partnership with StartHere to develop

a bid to the Dept of Health Innovation Fund.

On the Radar Database Project

Future developments continued..• StartHere already provides a national easily accessible

web-based service to help patients and carers search for services in their local area.

Aims of this project are to:• to integrate the StartHere and On the Radar database to

provide a national website that can be used by both commissioners, patients and carers;

On the Radar Database Project

Future developments continued..• ensure easily accessible and high quality information for

these different users. • Initially we wish to pilot this with VCS providers in

London.
