ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (DBT), MIET

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) at MIET, Meerut is one of the premier department in Biotechnology

education & research in Uttar Pradesh, India. The department was established with the aim to be “Center of

Excellence” by imparting quality education & developing vision & research skills in young Bio-technocrats.

The Department of Biotechnology is also an Approved Research Center of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical

University, Lucknow, for conducting Ph.D Program. The Department is well equipped with “state-of-the-art”

laboratories. The Departmental faculty is highly qualified, experienced & specialized in different areas of Bio-

technology.

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

Advancements in medical research have led to development of strategies against several communicable and

non-communicable diseases. This International Mini Symposium aims to discuss new approaches of diagnosis,

treatment and prevention with strong interventions of modern biotechnologies and pharma & microbiological

therapies.

CALL FOR ABSTRACT MIET Biotechnology Society (MBS) invites abstracts from the Academicians, Practitioners, Research Scholars and Students on the topics related to the below mentioned themes. Authors of selected abstract would be given an opportunity to present their papers in the form of poster / oral presentations during technical sessions on the day of the Seminar.

DURATION OF THE SEMINAR This is a One-Day program scheduled on 24th April, 2018 (Tuesday) and will be conducted in different sessions from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm on the day.

Content: The abstract should clearly define the objectives of the study along with methodology used / proposed to use for achieving the desired aims. Style: Documents should be a MS-Word, double-spaced, single-column manuscript, with wide margins, minimum 11 pt, Times New Roman. Length: 250 – 350 words
