A Word to Consider
Gifts, that is what is on everyone’s mind…gifts that you got, gifts that you
wish you had gotten…perhaps even gifts that you wish you had not re-
ceived. The question is did you celebrate those gifts with the “thankful”
heart as I challenged you to do last month?
This is the beginning of a brand new year. Will you carry the thankful
heart over into this new year? You remember, it is God’s will for us to be
thankful in all things. We can celebrate the beginning of this year first by
remembering Genesis 1:1…life is NOT all about you and me!
Then perhaps we could remember the psalmist said Psalm 111:10
Also remembering the writer of Proverbs penned Proverbs 9:10. Now
would be a good time to commit to 2 Timothy 2:15, so then, Matthew
6:33 would be a beginning step toward His riches blessings, knowing also
Paul told us in Galatians 6:7-8.
So what about those gifts…among all of the gifts from this Christmas,
have you received the greatest Gift of all? God does not desire that you
should miss eternity in Heaven. We are reminded 2 Peter 3:9.
That is why God offers you the greatest gift, Jesus Christ His Son. John
3:16. Only if you will Romans 10:9-10, will verse 13 apply to you! With
that beginning, you will be off to a wonderful new year with a thankful
heart!
Let’s celebrate this Christmas season (or rather this new year) with a
thankful heart and let’s share that thankfulness with others so that they
too can find the greatest gift available to all mankind!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! May your thankfulness radiate throughout this year
so that others will see Jesus in you!
Because of Jesus,
Love,
Bro. Jim & Mrs. Robin
