UN REFORM PAKISTAN - SYNOPSIS AS OF OCTOBER 2007

• Progress continued in July, August and September at differing rates in the 7 Working Groups of OMT.

• A decision was taken for Working Groups to formally all meet once a month for half a day to share information, progress and elicit assistance and/or clarification where needed.

• OMT decided to meet twice a month – with one OMT meeting per month dedicated to UN Reform matters and decisions.

• OMT information overload overcome through use of Common Services Website, i.e. documents for review, information requests, reference documents are now loaded up weekly with an e-bulletin issued to all Working Group members.

• Information flow now progressing smoothly albeit backlog to overcome.
