    THEPAST Oliver Twinsafe valves can provide ‘Fire-Safe’ valves. We maintain an in house fire

    test facility, which enables us to provide an independent certified fire test for ourcustomers if required.

    The Fire Test Rig consists of 16 Gas burns, which encapsulate the whole valve in atemperature-controlled flame as required by the usual fire test specifications.

    Fire tests can be carried out and certified to all the main fire test specifications such

    as API 6FA & API 607 Rev 4. Additional fire testsaccording to unique customer specificationscan also be carried out upon request.

    All fire-tested valves come complete with a fire testcertificate, which has been certified by an independentbody such as Lloyds or DNV etc.

    DesignProducts comply with the relevant code requirements of API 6D, ASME Vllland ANSI B16.34.

    Geared Handwheel OperationGenerally valves above 2" 1500 class are supplied with gear box operator.Double Block & Bleed valves fitted with two gear box operators aresupplied with one removable handwheel as standard. This allowsoperation of one isolate at a time, for safety. Please consult factory.

    Valve MarkingMarking of ball valves to MSS-SP-25 and EN19 standards.

    NACE (NA)As standard, the full range of Oliver Twinsafe Valves are compliant to NACEspecification MR-01-75 (latest revision) ‘Sulphide stress cracking resistantmetallic materials for oilfield equipment’.

    TestingEach valve product is individually tested both hydrostatically andpneumatically as follows: Hydrostatic shell test to 1.5 x full rated pressure,and hydrostatic seat test to 1.1 full rated pressure, and a low pressure,pneumatic seat test to 80psig.

    Certification and TraceabilityAll valves exhibit unique identification coding and material test certificatesto BS EN102043.1.B as well as lifetime factory history being available.

    DevelopmentContinual development maintains the highest levels ofperformance and integrity for our Double Block Twinsafe valves.Oliver Twinsafe Valves maintains in-house performance and firetest facilities.

    PaintingCarbon steel valves can be supplied with a range of externalcoatings for environmental protection. Please consult factory

    TemperatureStandard temperature range is -30°C to 150°C in accordance withAPI6D and higher temperatures with metal seated valves, consultfactory for higher temperatures.

    Explosive DecompressionExplosive decompression occurs when gas at high pressurepermeates into seal materials. When the gas pressure is reducedthe absorbed gas expands, which can cause the seals to swell andblister. Oliver Twinsafe Valves only use seal material within their‘twinsafe valve’ range that are resistant to explosivedecompression.

    There are two types of coating available:

    Tungsten Carbide for abrasive service applications suchas slurry and sand contaminated media.

    All metal-seated Twinsafe valves are tested inaccordance to API 598 for 2” and smaller and API 6Dfor the larger bore valves.
