John J. Ash Community Building at 112 North Barry St. is open for seniors 60+ in the city of Olean and surrounding area. Come see old friends, meet new friends, and have some fun!The John Ash Community Center offers social interaction between seniors along with a breakfast bar
featuring coffee, donuts, and fruit, Monday thru Friday, 9am to 12pm. Come and join us for games, arts, puzzles, bumper pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong. If you like Bingo, we have that on the 2nd We d n e s d ay o f e ve r y
month at 12:30pm. Do you like to play Eucher? Join us on the 3rd Friday of every month at 1pm- Reservations requested. We have free wi-fi and computer usage. Square dancing is held every Monday at 1pm. Games, Bunco, Marbles, or Crafts are held every 2nd and 4th Friday at 12:30pm. During the summer we have Mini Golf at 11:00am, at Good Times for $8, includes golf and lunch.
Need exercise? Join us Mondays and Fridays for video Tai Chi at 10am or Tuesday and Thursday for Tai Chi at 10am. Slendaerobix is seasonal and held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights at 6pm. The cost is $4. Bus Trips(day and week) are planned.SWAN program provides lunch Monday thru Friday at 11:30am for a small donation.The JR/SR League (Coasters) meet at 7pm on the 4th Tuesday of every month. If you are 55 or over, come join us. The Junior League helps support the center with parties and dinners. Tureen Dinners are held the 2nd Monday of the month for $4 or free if you bring a dish to pass.The Center is available to rent for parties, weddings, or events. OLEAN AREAYOUTH COURT
The Olean Area Youth Court is a highly successful delinquency intervention/prevention program servicing first time offenders
between the ages of 7 and 16 years old.
The Youth Court members are high school students from Olean, Allegany-Limestone, Portville and Hinsdale. Students are required to complete a structured training program and successfully pass a final law exam. They serve as the judge, side judge, facts attorney and law guardian.
Youth Court is in session 2 Monday evenings each month. For more information contact Paula Keenan, Coordinator at 376-5645.

Arts and Science through Theatre: Join us on our adventure Children will be introduced to theatre through creative play. Exercises and games will focus on acting through storytelling, creating a character, expressing a feeling, music, and movement. A craft and story will often be included.
• Fun outdoor math and science projects.
• Games including acting, team building, and just plain fun.
• Performing Arts activities including singing, dancing, karaoke, acting, music and puppets.
• Literary and Visual Art including water coloring, using natural items found in Oak Hill Park creative writing and poems.

SUPERVISED PLAYGROUNDSMonday, July 1 thru Thursday, August 8
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Mon.-Fri.) Supervised city playgrounds are summer “drop-in sites” where our recreation leaders supervise a wide variety of informal recreational activities, including kickball, whiffle ball, softball, playground games, Uno, checkers, board games and more! A great place to be with friends and meet new ones!
*Playground may close at various times due to inclement weather or during city-wide special events. Playgrounds are designed for children ages 5-12. Children under the age of 6 need to be accompanied by an adult.
