The bride had great personal style. The wedding abounded with lovely details that showcased the bride’s personality and her desire to make the wedding memorable. The color scheme of purple and greens was eclectic and perfectly coordinated throughout the wedding.

After Matt proposed and you began to plan your wedding, what was the first thing you did?It so happened there was a bridal show the next weekend and we decided to go to for inspiration and ideas. I met my photographer, Sherry Lynch, and fell in love with her wedding photography. I also found my location and DJ at the same bridal show. It was exciting to get these big decisions made early, leaving me time to concentrate on other details.

How did you chose your colors?I wanted to use some different colors other than the typical weddings colors! I liked red and purple and it really came together beautifully.

Did you have a theme for your wedding and reception?I didn’t want it to be very “girly”. I wanted a homespun, vintage look that was comfortable, but not fussy. And, I wanted it to be pretty. I guess I would say vintage - casual but chic.

How did you carry this theme out?I had glass bottles everywhere! They were decorated with charms, skeleton keys, and wire. They were very colorful and contributed to the festive atmosphere the way they sparkled in the candlelight.

Were you wearing any keepsakes or momentos?I had my grandmother’s and aunt’s name on a charm attached to my bouquet. I did this because I wanted to feel close to them and feel like they were a part of the day.

Your bouquet is beautiful! What kind of flowers did you chose?I wanted my bouquet to be special. It was an eclectic mix of orchids, gerber daisies, calla lilies, and succulents. Stems were wrapped in vintage lace and decorated with charms.

What was your favorite moment?My Dad has a health issue and was worried about walking me down the aisle. But, of course, I wanted my Dad to walk me down the aisle. We made it work! My Grandpa walked me part way and then my Dad continued the walk with me to the altar. It was very special to me.

What did you think of your wedding photos?Our photographer was AWESOME! She had a game plan but never rushed us and gave us time to do our thing. She was very professional and we’ve had so many compliments on our photographs.

What was the best advice you were given?It came from an aunt and uncle who told us, “…there will be hard times. But, always end each day by saying “I love you” to each other.

How would you describe your wedding?PERFECT! The day was more than I ever hoped or expected. We cherish the time we had to spend with family and friends.

photographer, Kim Stubbs, was just the person to capture

the unique and FUN photos they were wanting. From

1920’s vintage to a relaxing picnic setting, the couple

found a truly inspiring way to showcase their love and

happiness.

Erin says, “Our hope was to have an intimate gathering of family and friends. We wanted those who were dearest to our hearts to share this beautiful and blessed day with us.”

The bride says, “There were hiccups. It rained all day. The outdoor decorations got wet and we had to move inside. Our cake was fondant and it began to droop due to the humidity. But still, our wedding day was beautiful. At the end of the day, I married my best friend. The day was perfect!”

Erin says that she wants to add “…our photographer was more than just our photographer. She was a friend, an advocate and a big part of our wedding. We were so happy with our engagement and wedding pictures.”

As Tiffany and Jason began planning their wedding, they made their first priority the location. They wanted to be married in the beautiful sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church. Next, they began looking for a reception venue and ultimately decided on Quail Creek Country Club. Jason says he and Tiffany made a great connection with the wedding coordinator, Carolyn, and were impressed with her knowledge and how helpful she was. It takes a great deal of stress off the planning to have someone who knows the “ropes” and can competently handle many of the details.


The setting at Quail Creek created the perfect atmosphere for the romantic Gothic wedding that Tiffany and Jason had envisioned. The Gothic ambiance was enhanced by Tiffany’s stunning empire wedding gown accented with black embroidery and jewels. Her bridal bouquet was a romantic cluster of crimson roses and plum calla lilies. The bridesmaid‘s black dresses featured a wide crimson sash to coordinate with the bride’s gorgeous bouquet. The sassy red heels were a nice finishing touch! The wedding was exactly as Jason and Tiffany had planned- elegant, classic and romantic- echoing a long lost Gothic tradition.

The reception was a total success! A delicious buffet featuring a pineapple tree with pineapple and strawberry kabobs served with chocolate, caramel, and whipped cream, Norwegian smoked salmon pinwheels, petite crab cakes with saffron aioli, teriyaki beef skewers,

and a pasta station. Guests were there to celebrate with Tiffany and Jason and danced the night away until the DJ played the last song!

Looks we Love…a non-traditional wedding gown, the ambulance groom’s cake, 1958 Jaguar limousine from King‘s Limousines.
