Security
This isn’t 1984
13
No longer just a MDM or Cloud solution
protection appearing to be enough
Terrorist activity and technicalcapabilities are very, very real
Corporate strategic content protection through SIM encryption technologies are available today. Challenge your provider.
Nature of remote/ 3rd world location and eavesdropping
Single level encryption vs multi layer encryption

Cost
Ecosystem: Don’t forget that calls are two way

Consider costs of others reaching you:
personnel in country callingback to the office
friends and family calling home
any call originating outside someone’s“Home Country” is can be very expensive

BYOD
• BYOD makes great sense, especially to Gen X and Y employees, and tablet-wielding executives. However, ICT Operations necessarily have to take a carefully measured approach to the phenomenon.
• BYOD has already proven it can enhance employee satisfaction by extending locations and styles of work. It is also touted as having the potential to reduce business costs and the time involved in provisioning, configuring, connecting and supporting end users.

Mobile Communication has 3
Options
Allow staff to communicate on
domestic devices while abroad, and suffer high
roaming bills later on.
Force staff to change behaviour, reducing
cost but sacrifice connectivity and
productivity.
