  • TONIGHT’S STARTER: RHP HIROKI KURODA (11-9, 2.71 ERA)RHP Hiroki Kuroda, 38, will make his 27th start of the season tonight vs. the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre… will be his seventh career start vs. Toronto and fourth this season…last started on 8/23 at Tampa Bay and recorded the loss in the 7-2 Yankees’ defeat, allowing 7ER on 9H in 6.0IP (1BB, 3K, 4HR)…signed a one-year contract with the Yankees on 11/20/12.

    OF LATE: Has lost three of this last four starts since 8/6, going 1-3 with a 4.39 ERA (26.2IP, 13ER) over the stretch…prior to that, had lost just one of his previous nine starts since 6/13, going 4-1 with a 1.79 ERA (60.1IP, 12ER) during the span.

    COMEBACK KID: Allowed a career-high-tying 7ER in his last start on 8/23 at Tampa Bay…has made eight starts this season immediately following an outing in which he gave up at least 3ER, going 3-2 with a 2.01 ERA (58.1IP, 13ER) in those appearances.
