intrOductiOnExEtEr is the newest city to join the Heineken Cup story. Located in the county of Devon the city has circa 120,000 and is a popular tourism spot given its good transport links by both road and air. this city in the south west of England is home to the famous Exeter Cathedral that is surrounded by cobbled streets as well as a number of churches, parks and the river Exe. Devon has many beaches along its coastline that are popular with visitors, however the area also has a reputation for fresh foods and is home to number of fine dining establishments. One of the most popular dining areas is the Cathedral Green.

On match day, the ground opens at 3pm and we have been invited to join the Exeter Supporters Club at the Wigwam Bar inside the ground (behind the SW Comms Stand). there is also the Undercroft bar (between the North terrace and West Stand) that will be open for pre-match banter with the Chiefs Supporters.

the bars at the ground have SKY Sports to watch other games – as does the stadium itself.

Post-match, the bars on site remain open for two to three hours . Stay around and let the crowds settle as we are told live entertainment is usually on offer.

messaGe frOm the cOach

Dear Leinster Supporter, On behalf of the Leinster squad and management I would like to thank you for your phenomenal support across the Pool stages of this year’s Heineken Cup. this Saturday evening the team travel to Exeter for the first time in European competition and it will be another stiff examination following on from our victory away to the Scarlets in round 2 and our narrow loss in early December to ASM Clermont Auvergne. I have been genuinely impressed, but not at all surprised, by Exeter’s fine form thus far. they are a close-knit, physical and talented group who are well coached and I know that they will continue to be competitive both in their domestic Premiership as well as in the Heineken Cup. to defeat them in Sandy Park will be a major challenge, but I know that the squad are determined to do so and finish the Pool stages off on a high. We know that we can count on your outstanding support once more and are grateful for your backing – especially in the tough moments in games when our backs are against the walls. So I would urge you once again to be vocal, wear your colors and, above all, enjoy the trip. travel safely and enjoy the game. Best wishes,

JOE SCHMIDtLeinster Head Coach

messaGe frOm the Olsc cOmmitteeIt all comes down to this - the final game in the pool stages in our defense as champions of Europe. We started the campaign as defending champions against Exeter back in October. that day was their debut to the competition and their support even in the rDS was very noticeable. Many Leinster supporters rate the friendliness and banter of the Chiefs supporters up there with our other friends at Clermont Auvergne.

We are expecting in the region of 800 to 1,000 Leinster supporters at Sandy Park on Saturday and it will be up to each every one of us to sing as loud we can to really get behind the lads. As the 16th man we must do everything we can to help the boys in blue get over the line. those fortunate enough to be at previous away games against Harlequins, toulouse and Clermont in Bordeaux, will know just how much can be achieved even when we are outnumbered by the locals as will be the case this weekend.

Exeter is a beautiful city and we hope that you enjoy your visit, be sure to take a stroll around the local streets and take in the river, the cathedral and the fine restaurants that the city has to offer.

the Walkabout on Fore Street is out base this weekend – whether you are travelling alone or in a group, the team there will welcome supporters with a number of specials and tV screens to watch the other European action over the weekend.

We hope to see you there at some point over the weekend.

Have a great trip and C’MON LEINSTER!
