Regulation for the Mine InspectorsTraining Institute

(Object)Article 1. The Mine Inspectors Training In-

stitute ("hereinafter called "the Training In-stitute") shall be under the charge of theDirector of the Resources Agency and itsobject shall\be to give mine inspectors educa-tion on techniques and practices necessary toperform their duties as well as to foster theirmoral character.(Name and Location)

Article 2. The name and location of the Train-ing Institutes shall be given in the SeparateTable.(Organization)

Article 3. >The Training Institute shall consistof one chief and several members.

2 The chief shall take charge of the businessof the Institute under the direction of theDirector of the Resources Agency.

3 The members shall take charge of the busi-ness of the Institute in part under the direc-tion of the qhief.

(Education on Techniques and Practices)Article 4. The chief and members of the In-

stitute and other officials of the Ministry ofInternational Trade and Industry shall takecharge of the education on techniques andpractices at the Training Institute. TheDirector of the Resources Agency may, whenhe deems it necessary, employ a person oflearning and experience as a lecturer.

2 The lecturers may,be given allowances?withinthe limit of the budget. However, this shallnot apply to a lecturer who holds the positionof other national public service.(Institute Students)

Article 5. Those who are to be trained (herein-after called "the Institute student") shall beappointed from among the second or thirdclass mine inspectors by the Director of theResources Agency.

2 The Institute student shall enter the Institutewith his present position kept and shall bepaid as an official in actual service.

(Training Term, Etc.)Article 6. The length of the training term, kind

of lessons to be instructed and the number ofhours for the lessons shall be determined bythe Director of the Resources Agency.(Completion Certificate)

Article 7. Any person who has completed thetraining course of the Training Institute shallbe given a completion certificate.

(Training Fees, Etc.)Article 8. No training fee shall be required.2 The chief of the Institute may, when he

deems it necessary, lend or giye books andother materials necessary for training.

(Necessary Matters)Article 9. Necessary matters on the Training

Institute and training other than those pre-scribed by this Ministerial Ordinance shall bedetermined by the Director of the ResourcesAgency.

Supplementary Provision : NThis Ministerial Ordinance shall be enforced as

from the day of its promulgation.

Article s. The training term, the place where'training is given, the qualification and thenumber of students, the time limit for presenta-tion of application for entrance and other nec-essary matters for training shall be notifiedin each respective training term.(Kind of Lessons and,the Number of Hours

for Them)Article 7. Kinds of lessons and the number of

hours given for them shall' be determined bythe Director of the Resources Agency in each

Remarks:

. 1. A belt and pistol shall be worn at all times when the uniform is worn, except thattheymay be removed when the police official is on indoor duty. In spite of the proviso to theabove clause, they must be worn at all times when the police official is on duty ata policebox, and at other times when the police official is wearing the uniform in public view.

2. A police baton must be carried while serving out of doors. However, this shall notapply to the case where the police official is the Assistant Police Inspector or its seniorand a baton is not necessary for service.

3. Regular model of special cap, protections against the cold and bulletproof materials re-quired by the circumstances of the district or nature of duties shall be fixed by the Direc-tor of N. R. P. H. Q., or by the Chief of the Regional Headquarters with the approval ofthe Director of the National Rural Police Headquarters.

Supplementary Provision :

This Instructions shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
