ECA’S MISSION To provide leadership in the construction industry through:

• promotion of a stable labor relations climate

• development and education of a skilled workforce

• encouragement of safety in the workplace

• advancement of economic growth

• being a resource for construction industry data and information

A Message from Eastern Contractors Association President and CEO:

Dear Valued Members:

To say 2020 was a demanding year would be an understatement. As with any challenge,

ECA, our members and construction industry partners met these obstacles and setbacks

with determination and a firm resolve.

Like many of our members, ECA was able to quickly transition to remote work while con-

tinuing to provide solid, timely information key to keeping our members up-to-date regard-

ing the daily changes the pandemic wrought. ECA staff continued to enter projects in our

Online Planroom and offered numerous online webinars related to COVID-19. We held

our first-ever Virtual Wine Tasting event in June and we were able to hold a modified Golf Outing and Sporting Clays

Tournament in person — with safety protocols in mind, of course!

As we enter 2021, it looks like we are seeing light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. We look forward to continuing

to be your resource — as always, reach out to us at anytime and we will be happy to serve you! We look forward to

standing beside our membership as we take on whatever lies ahead.

Our EVENTS Calendar started out optimistically with

our first-ever Battle Axe Tournament in March.

Once COVID hit, we had to hit pause on

our in-person networking events,

however we got creative and held a

Virtual Wine Tasting in June with over

100 participants! We finished out the

summer and fall with our a Golf Outing

and our Annual Sporting Clays events!

BUILDING INDUSTRY CENTER The Building Industry Center at 6 Airline Drive in Albany, NY opened its doors in the early

1970s providing our members a central location to meet and to use our physical

Planroom. Fast forward 50 years when we renovated the entire building, transforming it

into a 21st Century office, training and meeting space with new technology and modern

features.

We hope you’ll soon be able to stop by and see all of the updates in person!
