Elevator Destination Dispatch The pace of business today leaves little time for waiting around. In ever-taller office buildings, traditional elevator systems that call a lift regardless of the destination or passenger type slow down the movement of people in peak periods, often resulting in frustration and delays. That’s where the intelligent integration of Otis elevators, Interlogix cameras and a Lenel OnGuard® building access system becomes a solution.

This elevator dispatch system uses Interlogix camera technology to dispatch elevators based on crowd size. Providing enhanced elevator traffic management, the integration also enables validation of ID badges for secure access and elevator car assignment to authorized floors.

Optimized Comfort and Energy UsageManaging an office building presents a twofold task: maintain the highest levels of comfort and air quality to keep workers happy and productive, all while keeping energy usage – and related costs – to a minimum. Fortunately, United Technologies offers solutions to meet these needs.

Carrier HVAC systems integrate intelligently with Automated Logic’s plant system manager via the WebCTRL® building automation system to optimize chiller plant systems and save energy. The combined solution helps assure the right air settings at the right times by adjusting for building occupancy and weather conditions.

It’s an intelligent way to maintain the best possible conditions for both workers and your bottom line.

Centralized Fire and Security MonitoringEnsuring safety and security in today’s office building takes many pieces of technology. United Technologies has developed a way to bring them together intelligently, providing a single monitoring system that imports and intuitively displays all critical alarms. This type of integration not only enables faster responses to potential fire and security issues, but also helps reduce overhead costs.

The solution includes the Edwards EST3 fire panel platform and Lenel OnGuard® building access system, seamlessly integrated to notify building managers of fire events and equip them to make informed decisions. Edwards fire panels also work together with the Automated Logic WebCTRL building automation system and the building’s security cameras to allow you to see exactly where the fire is located. Finally, the integration of Otis elevator solutions gives you the ability to send elevators directly to a specific floor in the event of a fire or security issue to assist with safe, efficient evacuation.

By integrating intelligent monitoring solutions, United Technologies is able to simplify and unify otherwise disparate and complex building functions, placing the power to keep workers safer at your fingertips.
