The Multicultural Volunteer Program was developed to assist the Office of Admissions with the strategic goal of increasing the number of underrepresented students the university recruits. These ambassadors include but are not limited to first generation, low-income, LGBTQ, minority students currently on SIUE’s campus. The MVP ambassadors are charged with sharing their experiences as successful SIUE students and mentoring admits through the college selection process.
• Conduct group tours Tuesday-Thursday• Participate on the “Resources for a Successful Transition”
student panel during Preview SIUE• Mentor small groups of students who attend the “Chicago
Admitted Student Bus Tour” • Hometown visits (optional)

Objective: To increase the diverse population on SIUE’s campus by providing students at local high schools as well as the Chicago area with an opportunity to learn about SIUE and all that the campus has to offer. Process: 10-15 Interview Official High School Transcript & Test Scores $40 Application Fee Waived Unofficial Acceptance Letter
