Library Promises to You
Over the past two years every member
of library staff has been working on
something we think is very special - our
new Quality Model. Our quality
model shapes the entire way we deliver
our services. At its centre lies one thing
- you and your experience of using
library services.
We have 9 principles which make up
the library promises to you and they
inform all of our library activity and
initiatives. We’ll be making more
information available soon but in the
mean time visit the library web pages
to read about our 9 principles.

New Subject Support
Web Pages
We’ve made brand new subject web
pages for each subject which tell you
how to find subject resources
including journals and e-books.
A great new feature is the ‘What’s
new... pages which are maintained by
your subject librarian and can help
you keep up to date with library news
and information on your subject.

New Online Tutorials/
Support
University Library Services have
created new online tutorials,
screencasts and guides to help you
make the most of library resources.
Access all new online tutorials
through your dedicated web pages.
On the Library Web Site click on the
Services For... area and then Student
and choose the description that best
fits you.
All dedicated off campus pages have
a link to Library Induction and Skills
for Learning Pages which provide
links to all tutorials.
Videos are available in Flash
format or on YouTube. Flash
videos are interactive so if you
have Flash we recommend that
you use these versions.
If you haven’t seen the library
facebook take a look at
facebook.com/UniOfSunLib. Library
staff post regularly and
share advice, news,
recommendations,
photographs and more.
You can also contact us on our wall so
whether you have a comment, a
question or just want to say hi we’d
love to hear from you.
