The Government of Andhra Pradesh through the G.0.Ms.No.36. dt.05.09.200 Ivide reference ISI cited. issued instructions to dispense with CompassionateAppointments in the State Level Public Enterprises and in lieu thereof Ex-gratia bepaid.

Based on the G.O. issued by the Government, instructions were issuedthrough Notification No. 17/2002. dt.16.09.02 vide reference 2nd cited. not to registerfresh appl ications from the dependents of the deceased employees to any posts asthere are no possibilities for providing employment under Bread Winner Scheme.However. on representation made by the then Recognised Union. instructions wereissued again to register applications under' Bread Winner Scheme for the post ofDriver Gr.1I and Conductor Gr.1I ani) vide Lr.No.GC2/439/2002-PO.1.dLI7.05.2003.

Comprehensive Instructions were reiterated with regard to recruitment ofdependents of employees died in harness under Bread Winner Scheme videCir.No.PD-30/2000 dt.OS.OS.2000.

On repeated requests made to the Government to restore the CompassionateAppointments in the Corporation to consider the cases of all eligible applicants whoare registered under the scheme of Compassionate Appointment from 01.01.98onwards. the Government through G.O.Ms.No.2. dL05.0 1.13 vide reference yd cited.accorded permission to VC & MD. APSRTC.. to provide CompassionateAppointments to all the eligible dependants of the employees who died in harness.numbering around 1120 pending since very long time \\ .e. f. . 01.0 1.1998 inA.P.S.R.T.C. against the sanctioned vacancies as per the Recruitment guidelines invogue subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria and qualifications. \\ ith retrospectiveeffect. as a special case and as one time measure.

In view or the G.O. issued by the Government to consider CompassionateAppointment to all the eligible dependents of the employees who died in harnessnumbering to I 120, all the Regional Managers are advised to commence theRecruitment Process for the posts of Drivers. Conductors and Shrarniks as per thecomprehensive Circular instructions issued from time to time from Corporate Officeon the su bjeci.

The number of appl ications registered under Bread Winner Scheme asconsolidated from the Bread Winner Scheme Periodical is enclosed according towhich the Government has given permission to re-implernent Bread Winner Schemeduly limiting the number to 1120 as on 31-12-20 I O.

Hence. all the Recruiting Authorities are requested to go ahead with therecruitment process to the categories of Drivers Gr.I!. Conductors Gr.11 and Shrarn ikslimiting the number as indicated in the enclosure and subject to the eligibility criteriaas specified from time to time. and only on ensuring that Additional Monetary Benefitis nor paid to candidates under consideration.

Action may be taken accordingly.
