NOTES FROM THE BOARD

SEPTEMBER 27, 2012 The meeting was called to order by Felicia Ayoub at 11:00 A.M.

The attendees were Felicia Ayoub, Walter Blanck, Barbara Caramore, Linda Nemeth and Jack

Tyniec.

The Minutes of the meeting of August 24, 2012 were reviewed, Motion made by Jack and

seconded by Walter to accept the Minutes; all in favor, Motion approved.

Financial Report

August income was $44,446 and operating expenses were $53,063 for a variance of ($8,617).

Year to date income was $372,337 and expenses were $384,384 for a variance of ($12,047). Our

August expenses were above budget but on a year to date basis we are still below budget on

expenses. As noted before, we still have expenses to be billed for salt water generators to the pool

house (recently completed).

August checks issued through September 25 totaled $59,226.68.

Old Business

The installation in the poolhouse of the additional salt water generating cells has been completed

along with the necessary electrical work. The pool will now be closed.

Luis Calle has completed the cobblestone work needed on GSD as well as at the island at the

entrance to WCE.

The work needed to limit access to the Windcrest East website has been completed by TNSL

Technical Services, Inc.

The application to LIPA to transfer WCE accounts to their Commercial Voluntary Off-Peak

Pricing Rate has been completed.

We are continuing to evaluate our street lighting efficiency

There is one correction to be made with reference to the questions and answers in last month’s

Minutes. The double septic tanks will be cleaned this November 2012, not November 2013 as

stated.

New Business

Any resident who gets a new email address or changes an existing email address should notify

Felicia by phone or email so that the information can be forwarded to TNSL Technical Services,

Inc. in order for the resident to be able to access our website.

We have received a request from the Social Committee on behalf of the WCE Men’s Club, which

is sponsored by the Social Committee, that they be able to invite Town of Riverhead Supervisor

Sean Walters to make a presentation to the residents of WCE advising us of current and future

plans of the Town. The HOA BOD has approved this request.

A motion was made by Walter, seconded by Barbara to replace the lock on the Gatehouse door

which has been found to be broken; all in favor, Motion approved.

The next BOD meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:30pm.

PAST EVENTS

Belmont Race Track The September 19th

trip to Belmont was a very successful

event. Everyone enjoyed the weather, lunch and the horses that put on a good

show. While we had fewer people (43) attending this year, we had just as much

fun.

Our first month of Shuffleboard has proven to be quite popular. There has been an average of 13 or 14 people each week trying their skill. Now that the weather is getting cooler, why don’t you come down on Monday afternoon at 1 pm and give it a try? There is plenty of room for more players and even more for the “cheering squad”. Call Carol or Jim Mikelbank at 298-5745 for any information.

AND SOMETHING ELSE

AROUND TOWN: Calverton / Baiting Hollow Civic Association meets every 2nd Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. in the Riley Avenue School cafeteria.

Call Bruno Meloni at 369-3069 if you have any clean, usable clothing you no longer want. He will collect them and take them to the Living Waters Church, Riverhead, for use by the needy in the town. They will take shoes as well.

ATTENTION: Riverhead Homeowners

Notification of S.T.O.P. Day (Stop Throwing out Pollutants)

Saturday, October 27, 2011 from 8A.M.to 3 P.M. at the Riverhead Town Highway Department Yard on Osborn Ave., Riverhead (Left side, North of Rt. 58, after Ambulance Garage).

See the notice on the bulletin board for the list of items they will take or not

take. Here is your chance to clean out some of that “stuff” in the garage.

I have also been informed that if you have any expired drugs or drugs you no longer need, Martin Drugs located on Rt. 58 behind the diner will take them. Also, Barth Drugs on Main St,. Riverhead will do so as well. Don’t flush them or put them down your drain. They will pollute our pond and/or our drinking water.

APPRECIATION NIGHT FOR OUR BOARD! On Sept. 29th, a group of our neighbors got together and hosted a champagne & dessert party to show our community’s appreciation for all of their hard work. Approximately 95+ people attended this fun-filled night. Shown in the photo, L to R: Jack Tyniec, Walter Blanck, Linda Nemeth, (Marie Miley, one of the hostesses) Felicia Ayoub, and Barbara Caramore.
