BIG NEW FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
Welcome, Panthers of Interkey! For those of you who I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Raven Quesenberry, and I’ll be your Interkey Club president for the 2014/2015 term! I am so glad to have all of you here in the club, and I’m honored to have the chance to get to know all of your individual personalities and serve you as we in turn work together to serve the community. So, briefly I’d like to sum up what we’ve been up to in the past. We focused for most of September on new member recruitment and getting everyone settled into the school year. I was absolutely thrilled by the amount of shining young people that seem enthusiastic about the club this year, and I truly believe that if we all work together, this can be our best year yet! We’re going to make new friends, get quality work done, make a positive impact on the community, and have a ton of fun! In the month of October, I hope to accomplish a few goals. We’d like to have at least 15 SRHS kids at Fall Rally, and have them bringing with them at least $200 that our club has raised for Pediatric Trauma Program. This will be raised through the Kiwanis Bake Sale (October 9th), our spirit gear sales, and ticket sales for the Omelet Breakfast (October 4th). Finally, in the months after this, I’ll be using this area of the newsletter to designate a “Member of the Month!” This title will be decided based on service hours, positive attitude, and overall contribution to the club. Also, the Member of the Month will be receiving a special prize! So, please keep in mind that this is something to aspire to be! If you have any questions about events, advice for me (I really want your feedback guys!), or ideas for the club, PLEASE don’t hesitate to text, email, message, or hunt me down on campus! I really do want to hear from all of you and get to know you better! Thank you all, I’m thrilled to have each and every one of you with us!
