Meals on Wheels - The Families First Coronavirus Act and the CARES Act have provided additional funding for meals. Whether medically homebound or not, those age 60+ and sheltering in place are eligible for meal delivery. If you, or someone you know, is having difficulty getting adequate food supplies or preparing meals, please call Charles Place at (770) 781-2178.

At Home ActivitiesFabric PumpkinA seasonal fabric design disguises a roll of toilet paper to create a festive pumpkin, topped with a leaf-colored ribbon and stick. You can pick up your supplies kit, or for those without transportation, arrangements will be made to deliver or mail it to you.

Online Caregiver Support GroupThursdays, October 15 and 29, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.At some point in life, many will be in the role of caregiver. It can be challenging, especially during this time of social distancing. Join us for a new virtual caregiver support program. Just for the haunting season, explore horror films from the 20th century. Discuss the special effects behind these movies and backstories from the actors. You're welcome to share some of your favorites, too!

Literary Book Hunt Wednesday, October 28, 3 - 4 p.m.A presenter will prompt a search within your home for a book with a certain characteristic. Can you recommend frightening fiction or just a good book to curl up with on a cold night? What about a favorite seasonal recipe from a fall cookbook or magazine? Whether you have a library of books or a shelf of a few favorites, this is a quest in which everyone can succeed and share or learn something along the way.

Weights and household objects may be used as you combine the best of aerobics and weight-bearing activities. Instructor: Ranee PattisonWeight Training Fridays, October 9 - November 6, 10 - 11 a.m.Learn exercises for large muscle groups while practicing in a progressive series of reps, sets and rest times. 1 - 8 lb. weights are utilized, although modifications may be made with household objects. Tai Chi - Series 2Tuesdays, October 6 - November 3, 3 - 4 p.m.Practice continuous flowing motions to increase harmony. Every class will begin with a full body warm-up and then focus on one Tai Chi for Arthritis form.
